Throughout our L4L (Learning for Life) / PSHE curriculum we aim to create confident, resilient individuals capable of making informed decisions and making the most of opportunities that will help them to live happy, healthy lives.
In Years 7, 8 and 9 the girls cover a wide range of topics in L4L lessons. These topics include friendships, mental health, digital communications, substance misuse, sex and relationship education and finances among others. Click here for the L4L overview.
We also follow the Penn Resilience Programme with Year 7. This programme is delivered by specialist teachers and aims to build emotional resilience and the ability to deal with setbacks. You can find out more about it here: http://howtothrive.org/young-people/education/.
In Years 10 and 11 the girls are taught PSHE on a rotation with Citizenship and RS. They cover topics such as SRE, mental health, personal safety, assertiveness.
