Young Carers / Young Adult Carers

March 2020

AHS Young Carers organised a NON UNIFORM day and cake sale to raise money for Bucks Young Carers.   An amazing £1,043.82 was raised.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, particularly 8A and 11C who made the most cakes.

Here is the assembly presentation delivered by our Young Carers in March 2020

A Young Carer is a person under 18 years of age. A Young Adult carer is someone between 16-25 years of age. They provide care for another person, who is ill, disabled, has a mental health condition or addiction problem.

“A Young Carer/Young Adult Carer becomes vulnerable when their caring roles impact their emotional or physical wellbeing and their prospects in education and life” (Department of Health, 2014).

If you think you/your daughter is a Young Carer please contact Mrs Westcott on 01296 388 222 or email [email protected] for advice or more information.
