Further to the AHS letter to parents on Tuesday 17 January, the School is open to Years 7, 11,12 and 13. It is also open to any vulnerable students or daughters of critical workers. This strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government over teachers' pay and school funding, and not because of any issues at our School, but we are sorry that parents of students in some Year Groups have had to make alternative arrangements for their daughters, and that most students will experience some disruption to their education. We understand that this situation may be frustrating, and ask that all members of our school community continue to treat each other with respect. Aylesbury High School remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our pupils and delivering high-quality teaching.
