Entry into Years 8 & 9

Entry into Years 8 & 9

Applications for admission into Years 8 & 9 are handled on behalf of the Governing Body by Buckinghamshire Council as part of its Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme. If you are interested in making an application, full details can be found by visiting the Buckinghamshire Council’s website.  You can contact them using their  Contact Us Form which can be found on their  website.

The application process for years 8 & 9 entry (September 2023) will go live between Monday 3th October 2022 and Friday 21st October 2022 via the online application portal on the Buckinghamshire Council website:

https://www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools-index/school-admissions/apply-for-a-late-transfer-grammar-school-test/

The test for entry is computer based and will last approx. 75 minutes, including time for the examples and instruction. This is a single test, with no break. The test will assess verbal ability, numerical ability and non-verbal ability. A link to practice materials will be sent out prior to the testing date.

Please note: Qualification under testing will be deemed to remain current until the end of Year 9, after which a new application for admission must be made (including testing) under the Late Transfer procedure for Year 10.
