Clubs and Activities

Homework Club – Mr Varia runs homework club every Monday and Wednesday lunchtime in L2. It is open to all students who are struggling with their work whether this be with regards to time management, revision or simply keeping on top of things! The club provides a relaxed environment where students can listen to music, chat in small groups and ask for help.

Hidden disabilities & awareness club – Hidden disabilities & awareness club is run every Wednesday lunchtime by Zahra Qazi and Chaitanya Sapra. All are welcome to this club which aims to educate people on a variety of disabilities in an enjoyable way, including learning British Sign Language!

FACT – FACT stands for fun and collaborative teamwork. The club is a safe space for students with SEND, full of wonderful characters and personalities with all sorts of different interests. The club is held every Thursday lunchtime in L2 and run by Miss Lucero (with the help of our 6th form ambassadors!) with different activities planned for each week. Hear what our students have to say!

I like FACT because it is fun!!! For example, last week we did a team-building challenge: Who can build the tallest and sturdy tower with the materials given to us.you can also get the chance to make new friends and just socialise with other people who also attend the club. We also did other fun and cool things such as: Origami, we watched The Shrek movie and played some games like ‘Werewolf’. One of my favourite activities was the origami one because I like doing paper crafts, it was quite engaging and I like Japanese culture!! 🙂 😀

Year 7

Everyone there is so friendly and such lovely people, I always feel safe and accepted!

I think fact is the most fantastic club to meet new people and make amazing friends, as well as doing really fun things! I love it so much. <333

I like FACT because cheesecake and bazookas randomly appear in conversations. There are a lot of nice people and the activities we do are really fun.

Year 7

I enjoy Fact because it is welcoming to all people and is just really fun especially if you are stressed or worried about anything. It’s also easy to find people with the same interests; which then makes it easy to make more friends as well! We are all very inclusive and fun, as people alone but even more as a community. No one is rude or unwelcoming, and everyone is patient with each other too. We’ve made many inside jokes as well. Overall, Fact is just a really nice group of funny, nice and just amazing people.

I really enjoy FACT because it acts as a chilled, laid-back space where I don’t have to deal with the struggles and stresses of year 11. It’s always  fun, with combinations of activities, games and even movies! I look forward to FACT every week, partly because of the kind people I have met, and also because it gives me the opportunity to just relax and enjoy myself.
